Welfare

Gaythorne RSL’s Welfare Section volunteers regularly make home, hospital and nursing home visits to veterans and War Widows. We have volunteers undertaking weekly visits around the Brisbane metropolitan area. Our volunteers are happy to visit new people for a chat and/or to pass on information in relation to community services available to them. We have one team of female Welfare Officers and two teams of male Welfare Officers. All of our volunteers in this area have undertaken the Department of Veterans’ Affairs Welfare Course and have been vetted by the Police.
